MAA Takaful Bhd (MAA Takaful) once again won the “Most Outstanding Takaful Product” award for its MAA Takafulink plan at the 7th annual Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Forum (KLIFF) in Kuala Lumpur, last week.
This makes its second year in the row that the company has won the award in recognition for one of its product. At the KLIFF 2009, MAA Takaful won the same award for the MAA Takafulink.
MAA Takafulink was launched in 2007 and is currently the company’s best selling product due to its distinctive, unique, competitive features and proven results, the company said in a statement.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Nor Moahmed Yakcop presented the award to the comany during the KLIFF dinner award presentation ceremony.
MAA Takaful began operating its family and general takaful business three years ago. Its chief officer Salim Majid Zain said the company came up with the idea of Takafulink by “understanding and listening to our customers as we wanted to design a product that meets their needs”.
“We want to give our customers the best there is to offer and MAA Takaful is always ahead in our efforts to develop innovative products that continue to meet their changing needs over a lifetime,” he said.
The KLIFF Islamic Finance Awards is to honour and appreciate efforts of institutions and organizations that have given significant contribution to the Islamic finance industry.
