MAA TAKAFUL PRESENTS RM500,000 CHEQUE FOR CLAIM

MAA Takaful Bhd (MAA Takaful) recently presented a cheque worth RM500,000 to Azni Shah Sulaiman who was diagnose with a critical heart condition.  The 44-year old businessman from Kelantan signed up for the TakafulLink Plan with MAA Takaful in 2008 after being advised by a consultant from MAA Takaful, the company said in a statement.

It added that Azni is greateful to MAA Takaful and the consultant and said he will use the money to continue treatment and cover his medical expenses.  MAA Takaful's TakafulLink Plan recently won the award for the "Most Outstanding Takaful Product" at the KLIFF Islamic Finance Awards Ceremony for being a product that encompasses three main financial planning elements, namely Protection, Saving and Investment.

The product can be purchased through MAA Takaful's professional consultants nationwide with monthly contributions as low as RM50.  The MAA TakafulLink contributions are invested in Shariah-approved funds managed by CIMB Principal Islamic Asset Management.

Bonus units ditributed to the participant for the year ending Dec 31, 2009 is 12 unit per 100 units for the Balanced Fund, 10 units per 100 units for the Growth Fund and 2.3 sen per unit for the Income Fund.
